R355 Route from Springbok through Kleinzee
From Springbok take the R355 over Spektakel Pass until you reach Kleinzee. 100km from Springbok to Kleinzee. When you reach Kleinzee go over the concrete crossing (don't turn off at the dirt road because you are now permitted to drive through Kleinzee) and continue past the Sandkop security gate on your way to Koingnaas. Continue for around 10km until you reach the Houthoop turn off on the left hand side. Turn left onto a dirt road and carry on for 6km until you reach Die Houthoop on the left hand side.
Route from Springbok through Kommaggas
From Springbok take the R355 over Spektakel Pass. Just over the pass 65km from Springbok you will see a turnoff on your left to Kommaggas. Turn left and carry on through Kommaggas and you will reach a Kameeldoring forest. This forest is one of the 10 "hot spots" in the world because the Kameeldoring tree is not indigenous to this area, very interesting. Carry on for another 40km and you will reach the Houthoop turn off on your right hand side.
